Nearly 50 students from 6 Winnipeg high schools (St. John's, Sisler, DMCI, Tec Voc, Churchill, Dakota) learned to utilize the arts in defining their Filipino-Canadian identities. This year's theme Sino Ka?: Our Filipino Canadian Identity through the Arts came to life with special guests from Toronto's Kapisanan Philippine Centre for Arts & Culture. The day included an inspirational speech from keynote speaker Jodinand Aguillon as well as workshops in Theatre (Facilitator Darrell Gamotin), Visual Arts (Kristina Guison) and Poetry as a Second Language (Christine Balmes) at the University of Manitoba. Following, over 100 guests enjoyed a gala evening of performances from the day's budding new artists.

Thank you to our guests and sponsors! Kapisanan Philippine Centre, Philippine Heritage Council of Manitoba, ANAK Publishing Worker Coop., Pilipino Express, Kevin Chief (University of Winnipeg), School Trustee Darlyne Bautista, MP Kevin Lamoureux, MLA Jon Gerrard, NDP Caucus, DJ Gilbert De Jesus, Popo Santos and Band
