September 14, 2007In an effort to pursue greater studies and research on Philippine issues, ANAK members Darlyne Bautista and Maureen Justiniano have begun their graduate studies at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Attracting scholars and guests from throughout the world, the center gave them an opportunity to brainstorm with Chito Gascon, Executive Director of Libertas in Quezon City. Gascon is acclaimed for his role as student body president at the University of the Philippines during the fall of the Marcos administration. Gascon became the youngest appointed member of the commission to write the Philippine Constitution under the Aquino Administration.
